Microdermabrasion has become the ‘must have’ beauty treatment for many women in their pursuit for flawless skin. In my experience it is an expensive and not particularly pleasant experience. It is an intense method of removing the dry, dead skin cells from the surface of your skin which is important to allow the products you apply to penetrate, be absorbed and do their job. Exfoliating your skin regularly will help to keep your complexion, fresh and bright, will help stimulate collagen production and unblock clogged pores.
But beware! If you exfoliate with a product that is very abrasive or too harsh, you risk damaging your skin and leaving it dehydrated. I recommend my clients use Skin Guru’s amazing Glow Cloths, on a daily basis, which gently removes surface grime, make up and dead skin cells, without stripping the skin and leaving it sensitive. Once a month I recommend this fantastic method of do-it-yourself microdermabrasion, which has fantastic results and all for a few pence.
1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon water
1/2 Teaspoon Honey
In a small bowl, mix all ingredients until combined. Dip your fingers into the paste and begin to massage all over the face, using circular motions. Be gentle and pay particular attention to any areas with blocked pores. Continue the massage for a full 5 minutes. Rinse off with tepid water, pat skin dry and apply anatural serum to protect the skin. Avoid direct sunlight for a couple of days.
